Role of Atieh Pardazan Sharif Holding in Water Supply Projects within the KIMIA National Project (One Million Ton Copper Cathode Plan)

At the initiative of the National Iranian Copper Industries Engineering and Development Company (NICICO Development), a documentary film has been prepared covering all water-related projects within the KIMIA National Project, which is presented for your information.

The KIMIA National Project, aimed at producing one million tons of copper cathode in the country, is considered one of the largest industrial projects in Iran. In line with the Seventh Development Plan, the project seeks to increase the country’s production capacity from 325,000 tons to 1 million tons of cathode copper, from 1.3 million tons to 4.3 million tons of concentrate, from 55 million tons to 177 million tons of ore extraction, and from 280 million tons to 629 million tons of overburden removal. Accordingly, Iran’s ranking in mineral production is expected to improve from 15th place globally to 6th place.

Sustainable water supply is one of the most critical challenges in the implementation of the KIMIA Project. The project includes a comprehensive set of measures to secure 205 million cubic meters of water per year.

Atieh Pardazan Sharif Holding is proud to have played an effective role in parts of the water supply projects through the capabilities of its specialized experts. These include EPC projects for chlorination systems in the first and second phases of the Persian Gulf water transfer project, commissioned by the Persian Gulf Water Supply and Transfer Company (WASCO), as well as the chlorination plant for the Bandar Abbas desalination project, commissioned by Asia Water Engineering Development Company (ASIA WATER).
